Things down here are starting to fall into place by God’s grace but there is a seemingly endless supply of things that need to get done. Regardless, the kingdom of Heaven is advancing forcefully and I’m thankful that I work for the King of the Kingdom.

Today is good Friday. It also marks a day where thousands are meeting at the Presidential Palace for teachings on Jesus and healings. I personally haven’t had a chance to get there today but I know that many pastors are centralizing there and will be participating in a healing crusade within the next few days. For an American, the term “crusade” often conjures up some negative responses but not to Haitians. To them a revival is something that happens within a church building while a crusade happens out in the streets. Both are meant to bring fresh life and truth into the lives of the communities that they are surrounded by. I hope to check out this crusade and get some pictures or info for you in the next few days.

The reason why I didn’t head to the National Palce today was because we’ve been having a number of pastors over to our home base. We had approximately 35 over this morning and another 35 are coming in less than an hour. We’ve been sharing some of the vision God has put within us to help empower them to help rebuild Haiti. This rebuilding process at the core is about bringing freedom and life into hearts through a relationship with Jesus. However, it also involves bringing food, water, tarps, supplies and discipleship to churches and communities as well. We want to be meeting their short term needs as well as long term needs holistically and that can only be done by partnering with Christ as He is our co-laborer.

Many of these pastors truly “get it” and I firmly believe they have more to offer us than we have to offer them. I will write more extensively sometime hopefully soon on the vision AIM has for meeting their needs and how you can play a role in it. Part of that vision includes sending individuals, teams and churches in to partner with specific churches and leaders and communities down here. You can start praying if God wants you to be a part of that in any way. There are trends that I have seen since being down here and one is that God is transforming people’s perspectives when they get down here. They are leaving with a sense of humility and hunger that has been missing so often from American churches. The real mission trip starts when our participants go home.

Today we had a reporter come with this group of pastors. After interviewing me, he lit up and said “what you are doing is good. Truth and knowledge like this can not be hidden. People of Haiti needs to hear the name of AIM and what you are doing.” SO, I’ve been invited to speak on air tomorrow morning on the radio and preach with a translator. The last time I was on the radio was when I was managing a station in the Bering Sea. It’s ironic how things like that come full circle. Regardless, pray that He says whatever He wants to say through me and that He gets the glory. Also, pray that we have favor with this man and that we can give him plenty of stories to spread the news of God’s faithfulness in and through all of these pastor’s churches.
