Well, here I am again at a place of change 🙂 Today was another good day where I’ve gotten a better grasp of what I’m doing and where I’m going…and that doesn’t necessarily mean physically going! The plane didn’t get the 15 passenger van off the ground which means I’m going to start looking at possibly buying a truck tomorrow. Pray that God leads that pursuit or delivers a different method to get some of our teams where they need to get to. Also, it looks like we may be trying to set up a half-way base in Azua instead of San Juan. This means that I may not be able to see some of my street boys right away but I am hopeful that I will be able to at some point before I head home. However, on the other side of things, it may be possible that I get to see them soon.
The plans AIM has for me are kind of fluid as I’m kind of the in-between guy trying to fix things before they’re broken guy on the ground. What that means for the next few days is that by the 12th I could be in San Juan, Azua, Santo Domingo, a border town or Port au Prince…or I might have gone to all of them by then. I guess this means that I could use your prayers for safe travel and His continued guidance. I know all of this may sound a bit scattered and crazy and in a way it is, but really I want you to know that He’s been orchestrating things in ways I’d never imagine. God has been putting peole and situations in front of me like clockwork and while I still am not sure waht the end looks like, I know He’s in it and I know that I’ll be ok and He’ll get glory!
As of right now we have places for teams to stay at pretty affordable rates with multiple options as well places to get supplies and food. We’ve got an idea of transportation but that will be fluid until we get some things hammered out. Please be praying for God’s favor, abundance and protection. Also, if I end up driving a team into Haiti, that means my 4 days to find a place to rent in Azua or San Juan is down to like a single day…Which means we need the perfect timing and connection to get the right house set up for the team of leaders coming in next week. Please also be praying that God directs the paths of those who are supposed to be down here for the next 3 months doing logistics.
