So there was this one time a couple days ago where I went to get food for our 24 hour bus ride from Ukraine through Poland on our way to Germany and I came back to an apartment with a little bit of a situation. There were two undercover policemen “chatting” with primarily Tim and Kris. Our lives were never in danger and nothing serious actually happened but it reminds me of a game my youth pastor has played with us as teens and a game we played at training camp. They came in and were demanding our passports and trying to get us to pay a ridiculous price for breaking the law. They knew we were missionaries trying to help out the country he’s been taking bribes from with his position of authority… If you are familiar with these situations then you will understand the back and forth chatter mixed with them saving face and trying to look tough and the endless waiting game while they hope to wait long enough that you will be uncomfortable enough to offer the bribe they are seeking to make them go away. Well…if you want a quick recap of it all, I would suggest clicking on the link below to Tim Dixon’s blog. Have a good one and I can share more of this experience with you at another time if you would like.
