Hello my friends,
I just wanted to let you all know that Teams Spectacle, Luminous (who will be working together this month) and Koinania (who will be working 15 min from us) have safely arrived in Lugansk, Ukraine. We just finished a 10 hour bus ride followed by a literal 2 days on trains heading east through Moldova from Brasov, Romania. The ironic thing is that this doesnt even feel all that bad any more…just a hop, skip and a jump.
Lugansk is about as far east as you can get in Ukraine and is technically east of Moscow to give you a little better picture geographically. We will be here until the 22nd working with Forrest and Darci (not sure about the last name) at an orphanage and with college students. How we split up our teams to do these two ministries and what that will look like is something we will find out in the next couple days. The 23rd through the 25th we will be in Kiev for debrief before heading into our last month of ministry.
I plan on writing some more blogs for you all in the near future but I wanted to let you know that God really used the conference this past week to really stir the hearts of many our squad including my own. It was encouraging, challenging and refreshing to be with squads that have both come before us and those who are right on our tails.
Prayer requests:
Hunger…when was the last time you were so hungry for Him that you just didn’t care one bit how He showed up? Well, I want that kind of insatiable hunger for both myself and my team
Life is full of seasons and we are about to end one and start another…many people give the encouragement to finish well but in a way I kind of want to look at this as the preseason. I want to finish well so that I can transition and really start the next season well…
Grace and favor…Americans and English speakers aren’t exactly loved where we are here and believe it or not we may just stick out a bit.
