Well all…FIRST of all, I just wanted to say that God is good and He is faithful 🙂 I thank Him for the encouragement you all have been to me!!!
I just spent the past couple weeks on the road talking with a number of people and groups which was encouraging, uplifting, fulfilling and fun. A number more of you have decided to pray for this journey God is taking me on and for that I am forever grateful! Also, there are a number of people who have decided to help support this financially which is also quite vital and very much appreciated. I’m currently hovering around the $4,000 mark which is a little bit ahead of where AIM’s goal for me is right now. I still financially will have to raise another$10,000 or so which at times seems daunting but I have a faithful God and plenty of fund-raisers to do in the next couple months.
So whats next??? Good question 🙂 Tomorrow morning I will be carpooling down to Georgia with a group of fellow World Racers for some training. This will be an exciting and challenging time as we meet our group, get put into teams, and are challenged to go deeper in all areas of our lives. When I return, I will give you an update on what all God is teaching me and how things are going! I’m hoping that as I move closer to departure time, I will get more consistent and concise with my blogs…we’ll see how that works out 🙂
So, what can you do? Any encouraging notes or emails are very useful and appreciated at any time!!! Also, if He lays it on your heart, you can help me financially! However, the biggest thing I desire from you right now is your continued prayer. What can you be praying about? Well, anything on your heart, but I will give you a few areas that might help 🙂
God would put my team-mates and I in the right teams that would complement each other the best for doing the most good for His kingdom.
God would break down any barriers I have so that I will hear what He is saying clearly
God would build me back up and continue to restore me
God would give our group a sense of unity and vision for this upcoming year and that we would be able to communicate it clearly
God would humble us and help us to look beyond ourselves…this trip isn’t about us in Ohhh so many ways
God would show us His favor and delight…that we would become more intimate in our hearts with Him…not just know a lot about Him
God would grant us safety on our travels
God would grant us eyes to see and that we would use them to perceive…that we would see what He sees
Likewise with our ears to hear Him
We would be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger and abounding in love with our team-mates and those we come in contact with
God would be glorified and honored in and through us
