I haven’t charged my camera batteries yet so the pictures that I do have aren’t quite available to share with you yet. Regardless here are some quick blogs to wet your whistle. First of all though I figured I’d share a quick bit about Haiti and tell you that you will get more tangible and logistical information later.

Haiti was an interesting month. There was a lot of manual labor and a lot of down time. We were in a very dry and arid land that wasn’t particularly safe but we were particularly protected. Our team has come together more but we have many levels to get to. Our squad is truly starting to love and enjoy each other and the sound of hope is starting to echo in our hearts. There have been a lot of us who have been broken and have gone through some pretty intense struggles. God has shown Himself faithful and true. He is drawing us near and revealing more of Himself in and through us.

My team is learning to have fun with each other in part thanks to the fun-loving Tikvah team. There are more things to share about Haiti, but I don’t know when I’ll be able to throw them into tangible words for you. I’m assuming my teammates or the Tikvah team that we worked with will have many more pictures stories and a better description of what we tangibly did in Haiti for now. At some point in time I will fill you in on some more pieces.

You can always be praying for unity within our team and squad. As Rachel would say, God is wringing out our minds and hearts like a sponge of the things we once thought and knew and felt so that He can then fill them up with His thoughts, words and feelings. Right now, God has been breaking through me in a few different ways and I have been able to get to know a lot of my squad mates while at debrief. This has really touched and blessed my heart and I feel God has used me to touch and bless theirs as well.

I truly love my squad and am truly thankful for all of your prayers and support!!!

We will be heading to Cambodia via Miami and a layover in LA starting next Tuesday. Once we actually arrive in Cambodia, my team will (Lord willing) be in Phnom Phen or however you spell it. The plan is to be working with University students there so you can be praying for favor with that and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with these people. I’m excited for Asia which was something is fairly new to me in my life. My heart is at rest and peace. I will share more sometime soon hopefully.
