So here’s some pictures from Bolivia! I know they’re somewhat late, but our Internet situation has been a little challenging here in Albania. We’ve been having to go to Internet cafés and such, so there’s never a guarantee that the Internet will be great….
We were painting on the sealer onto the concrete at the construction site. This was the easy part of the construction, granted construction was never that hard, but this was the better part. Other than this, we sanded concrete. Never have I ever sanded concrete before, much less with 80 grit sandpaper….
This was the construction site. To the right is where the above picture was taken and all those rooms are gonna be workshops for leather, wood, and metal work. This facility is gonna be for the men of the families that El Jordan works with. This is a place for them to have a trade and a stable job as well. In the back of the place is a soccer field for them to have fun after working. To the left of the picture is a house for the people who will stay and oversee the facility.
This was us giving the kids a bath at El Jordan. They didn’t know they were getting a bath because they thought they were just playing in a pool, but there was actually soap in the water, so they got cleaned.
This was the sunset almost everyday from the roof of El Jordan.
Oddly enough, fuzzball was more popular here than playing soccer for real. This was Joshua and Molly playing with the guys at Ken’s place and Ruth as well. They played almost everyday before lunch.
This was Kristen’s last night with us as our team leader. She was going to La Paz a few days ahead of us because of debrief. This is most of Ken’s guys and the lady that helps him out around the house, Maribel. Ken is the man next to Joshua.
This was where we stayed this past month. It was a boarding house at a seminary in Santa Cruz. This was our living room.
This was the guys room. It was nice to have separate rooms for us all.
Yes, this is me jump from about 30 feet into the water. I jumped from where Joshua is standing above me. It was scary, and yet so much fun. It really shows what true freedom in Christ is like. We have to take that leap of faith and true freedom is scary, but at the same time, there’s nothing like it! I wanted to put this up here to show some of the fun that we had in Bolivia.
I hope you have enjoyed this picture blog! I’m gonna try in the future to be quicker about posting these kinds of blogs 🙂
