So I will be taking pictures to document my journey over the next 11 months with my little friend that you see below….

This key is something that is very special to me.  It is my ebenezer.  I wear it around my neck to remind me always that I have been called to the mission field.

For those of you who do not know, I surrendered to a call to the mission field in April 2011 while at Passion Ft. Worth.  During one of the afternoon sessions, I got the sense that God was calling me to go to an unreached people group.  I said ok, but then wanted to know for sure, as usual 🙂

Anyways, I went to Kneel the next morning, which is a guided prayer journey that they have set up at Passion.  The first two stations are about getting your heart and mind right to meet with God.  Stations 3-8 are all about praying specifically for things (your community, campus, country, the nations, etc).  Station 9 was being still in His presence and number 10 was seeking God and asking Him what my part in reaching the nations for Christ is.  I got the key

When I got to the last station, I opened my Bible and it fell open to John 20 where Jesus appears to the disciples for the second time after His resurrection.  My eyes fell on the part where Jesus tells Thomas to put his hands in His side and His fingers in His scars and be not unbelieving but believing.

So all this to say, I wear this cross and never take it off so I don’t forget what He has called me to and I thought what a better way to document my trip.  A lot of people have a little stuffed animal or something like that they are taking pictures with and this is mine 🙂
