months now I’ve been preparing for this ‘World Race’. My whole world for the
next 11 months consists of a 40 lb pack and a daypack.
It’s not something I’m debating on
doing. It’s not something I have ‘coming up’. It’s no longer hypothetical. Today
it is the Real Deal. I kissed my family goodbye, left everything familiar to me,
and got on a plane to start a brand new chapter. There’s no turning back at
this point. I wouldn’t trade the overwhelming anxiousness right now for
anything in the world. Why? Because I realize I would not be having THIS
feeling if something HUGE wasn’t going to happen my year 2011.

Thank You all SO much for all of your
support in getting me this far. It’s just the beginning. This is going to be a
crazy journey, but I have a sense of peace because I know I have a solid group
backing me and a God that will never leave my side. He’s already shown himself
over and over in the past months. I believe the challenges I faced while
prepping to leave on ‘The World Race’ were just tests to strengthen my faith in
preparation for the bigger issues that lie ahead this year. I cannot wait to
see what he has in store for my heart and mind over the next 11 months.
