It was brought to my attention that I’ve been sharing what I’m doing after the
Race and have given good details about it (read my blog if you haven’t heard: What I’m doing after the Race),
but haven’t shared my heart behind it.

Honestly, I think the reason I haven’t
is because I don’t even understand completely why God is sending me there or where he wants me to be next in my life. Even coming home from the Race I’ve
pictured coming home and getting a big girl job, living on my own, making
enough money to save up. But once again, I’ve had to surrender my plans. And I
ask, “What now God?

Am I going to be a missionary for the rest of my life? Will I always have to
support raise and live off of what you give me? Am I
just going to be in the Adventures office and send the next generation around
the world for five years? Will I go to CGA and then get a corporate job? Will I
get married and start my family soon? Will I move to another country next year to spend the rest of my life there?

I
don’t know the answer to any of these questions. I really wish I did because
for me it would take away a lot of worries. But if any of you got my support
letter for the Race last year, I explained how God told me to trust. Once again, I’m
doing the same thing.

My dream is to impact the kingdom for God’s glory. I love singing and leading
people in worship. I love talking with college age women and sharing with them
where their true identity comes from. I love talking with high schoolers and
sharing with them my story and what I would do differently. I love investing in
middle school girls and telling them they are cool! I love organizing things
and planning events. I love recruiting, whether it’s to Georgia Southern or
another organization I’m in love with. I love living in community. And I love
experiencing the closeness and pursuit of a God who created me.

That’s
my heart. I’m excited for the journey to see what God is going to use me for. I
always have to give the financial part over to the Lord and he always reassures
me of his goodness in calling me. Just like he called me to the Race, he’s
called me to CGA and he’ll provide all I need.
