We have come
understand what we’re doing here.
Raja says that
street gospel is too dangerous.
With us white people
here, we can invite everyone into a believers home and they will come. They’ll
come to listen and see us.
With just Raja going
to villages himself, only one or two families will come.
Even though we might
be the only reason the village people come to the meetings, we won’t chance an
opportunity to share the gospel.
Last week, God
filled me with boldness. I knew he wanted me to share the gospel.
It was neat because
as God was using me to tell his story, I knew the words weren’t coming from me and
I was also learning new things.
I talked about God
creating man and woman. Then how they believed a lie and ruined the perfect
relationship they had with God.
I talked about
Jesus. How God sent himself down in human form as his son. He lived a life just
like you and I did.
He suffered, he
experienced pain, he cried, he served the rich and the poor, he went without
food, he was tired, he came to Earth to have a life just like we did.
All so he could die
for us on a cross.
This isn’t exactly
what I said or all I said, but that’s what I realized when I was talking.
God came to earth,
so he could experience everything we do. He loved us that much to put himself
in our position, only lower.
That’s the kind of
God we serve. It doesn’t compare to any Hindu God. He isn’t a statue or a
picture. He doesn’t want us to work for his love. He gave us a free gift and
gives us free will to choose.
We get to choose to
accept him or not. We choose how we serve him. We choose how we worship him or
when we worship him.
We don’t have to
pray 5 times a day. We don’t have to do things to earn love or his attention.
We don’t have to live the perfect life to get into heaven.
In Christianity, we
don’t even have to serve the poor and hungry. We don’t have to read the Bible.
We don’t have to go to church. We don’t have to love others better than
ourselves.
It is all a choice.
As for me, I choose to do those things. I choose Jesus because he choose us.
