When we left for the
first village around 4:30 the night after our arrival in India, we were excited to see
what God was going to do. We asked him earlier that day who he wanted to preach
that night and if he had anything he wanted us to share. Shelley and Grayson both
had something, Grayson was chosen.

We thought we were
going immediately to the village, but we ended up stopping at several places on
the way to get a tire checked out, pick up a new tire, get real chia tea (which
is so much better than in the states and the best I have ever had), and then we
made our way. So it took about 2 hours to get there.

Once we did, we
hopped out and walked right up to a door with a loud speaker out front. Coming
out of the speaker was singing. However, it doesn’t sound like singing to me,
just sounds like a loud squeaky voice singing some strange notes and melody. I
keep wondering if the people here think these singers are good, because in
America, they wouldn’t be.

We walked into the
room and children were everywhere. They loved us! They shake out hands over and
over again. They giggle, ask our names, try to pronounce them, say their name,
and giggle more as we try to pronounce their names. The little girls are
beautiful and so full of life.

We weren’t expecting
to see kids, we thought we were going to a believers meeting. But our
expectations were different. They served us warm milk with sugar and it was so
delicious!

Then we moved to another house with a big porch outside and everyone
was sitting on it. Some adults showed up at this point. They were singing songs
again, that which we couldn’t understand. They sat us in the very front.

The sang and worshiped. One guy, Israel our translator, played the key board. Then 5 little
girls got up to dance. It was the most precious thing I have ever seen. These
girls were so happy, so joyful, and so excited to dance before the Lord. They
are all so cute!

It was so cool to see the reaction of my teammates while these
girls were dancing. Lizi, our team leader had a huge smile on her face and
tears of joy streaming down. Courtney had her hands up praising the Lord,
laughing with joy. Shelley was praying, speaking sweet words over the village.
I was smiling, I had so much joy.
