I have met several students on campus and eat lunch with
them each day. They help me pick out food to eat in their cafeteria. There is
lots of good and cheap food to eat. They have ice cream too, which you have to
get three scoops if you get a cup, its great!

Since we have been going to campus, so many students have
come to fellowship each night. We have such a small space and so many people!
Ajan, the pastor, is so excited! Since I led challenge courses in college I am
able to lead games here. The students love the games we play and are so willing
to learn. We explain the game in English, then again slower so they can
understand. If they still don’t, Oo translates. Then we hear a resounding, “Ooooohhhhhhhhh.

After games we break them up into groups according to their
English. If they want to learn basic English, learn grammar, and if they just
want to have conversations.

Tonight, I led a girl to Christ. I have been praying about
opportunities to share why we are really in a random city in Thailand. I have
also been praying the God would give me opportunities to share the gospel. He
answered my prayers.

I was in conversation with Asha, a girl we know well now,
her sister Pop, and May. May randomly asks me if I am a Christian. I then ask
her what Buddhism is about and she tries to ask me something. Pop chimes is
saying, “I think she is saying she wants to be a Christian.

I was shocked; one because that actually was happening and
two because God dropped it in my lap. This girl May was not a good girl from
what I have heard. And so to clarify, I asked her again if she wanted to be a
Christian and she shook her head yes.

And I began to share the gospel. For the first time, I was
sharing the gospel one on one with someone who had never heard it. And the crazy
thing is, she doesn’t know much English. Yet, she stared at me intently the
whole time, like she was waiting on my every word. After I shared the creation
story, why Jesus came, and how we accept him, I shared a story from my life.

I had heard she might be having boy trouble, actually
getting herself into boy trouble, and God put a story on my heart about the
first time I had my heart broken from a boy in college. Then how God was the
only one who could put my heart back together, who gave me joy and peace.

I had Oo come over and translate so she could repeat the
prayer of acceptance. Then Oo got her a Bible and we planned on doing a Bible
study together while she read on her own as well.

I shared with her about being loved, no matter what happens,
what she does, God loves her. He is proud of her. He accepts her and always
provides for her. If she needed to get out of a situation, God would help her.

I also encouraged her to pray. This is the cool part. She
said, “I can’t speak English too well, so I can’t pray. And I then got to
explain that our God speaks all languages because he created them. I speak to
him in English and he speaks back to me in English. You can speak to him and
Thai and he will speak back to you in Thai. She was so amazed.

Wow, God is good. I am praying for wisdom in leading her
through the gospels. God has equipped me and called me to do this and by golly
I am doing it!
