It was another day
going to villages. We never know the names of the village we go to. Whenever we
arrive though, we’re immediatly welcomed into a home, asked to sit inside, and
wait. Then we’re fed.

We can’t choose many
things here. We can’t choose when we eat or how much we eat, or what we eat.

Then we spoke to the
believers in the village. God asked me to share about sharing your faith.

I am not sure if
people do that here or what that looks like. I did know that there were only 10
Christian families in the village and 50 Hindu families.

We are also asked to
sing songs. One of our translators, Isreal, loves the song Happy Day. So, we
normally sing that one. I do the hand motions I know, so the people have
something to watch while we sing.

They sing too, but
there is no guitar or music, just clapping and voices. To me, it seems boring,
but I guess they get something out of their worship.

The second village
we went to was CRAZY! We came and immediately were surrounded by kids of all
ages. There were hundreds, maybe thousands. We couldn’t go anywhere. We were
escorted to the top of a roof, and children were coming from who knows where to
gather around. They weren’t allowed up the stairs, so somehow they were getting
on a roof, hopping from roof to roof to get to us.

They sang, we sang,
we shared a message. Then we prayed for people. Anytime we waved at them, they
went crazy. I felt like a celebrity and of course, I ate it up. This was the
first time the village had white people. They even brought us coke to drink in
front of everyone… that was weird. It’s the first time I have ever had an
audience while drinking coke.

The amount of kids
and people there was really overwhelming to me. I took pictures and videos for
everyone. I didn’t shake many of the kids hands, and I wanted to leave.

While we were
drinking our Coke, God convicted Shelley to share words with these people. She
told them how we were no different than them. We were not special. The only
reason we were there was to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We did not have
any special power or magic touch, God is the one we serve.

Who knows if they
heard her or listened. God does.
