The World Race has been established for about 6 years now at Adventures. Multiple squads are launched each year. Each racer has their $15,500 deadline to meet at 6 months on the race. This is a story I saw first hand of how God provided all the money for one particular racer.  I am so honored God chose to show me his goodness in this way. I got to take part in this. He showed me his faithfulness.

March was the 6th month deadline for 2 squads on the field. They had to have all of their money in so they could stay on The Race. Moms, dads, grandparents and siblings were calling in asking how much their racer needed. One mom in particular called and sounded very distraught. Her daughter had close to $2,000 left and she didn’t know where the money was going to come from. She had no monthly pledges, no donors she knew of, nothing.

A young and willing donor called and asked who needed money. She somehow knew about the race, and felt the Lord ask her to give. She only wanted to give $1000. I asked God to show me who to tell her to give to, which racer needed this gift. I did some research and found some racers who were in need and began to share with the donor. Then, I remembered the mom who called that morning. I shared with the donor about the mom and that her daughter's total was closer to $2,000 to stay on the field. Her response, “Let’s do it!”

I called the mom back and explained what happened. There were no words from the other side of the phone, just weeping. I didn’t know what to say besides, “isn’t God good?” I was beginning to cry myself. The mom didn’t even care that she was crying. She didn’t even try to make herself stop. She was finally able to muster, “Thank you. My whole family says thank you.”

Later, I found out through a support coach, the racers dad was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer while she was on the field. She was struggling whether or not to come home. The Lord told her to stay and he would take care of her dad.

Her family had no money to give, no way to take care of her. They were battling something else. Now, look what God did. How faithful!

God took care of her. God will take care of me. I am so excited to tell you God has provided over $4,000 for me so far. I cannot express how grateful I am. Please keep me in your prayers.
