When I started to consider applying for the World Race, a million different questions entered my head: Why do I want to do this? 9 months? Is it safe? Is it worth it? Is God asking me to do this, or is this just me making plans?
My biggest concern was the last question. I am amazing at making plans. I love to make plans, to make to-do lists, and to check them off. Making plans helps me feel like I am in control. So when I decided that I wanted to do this, I wanted to be certain that it wasn’t just me trying to check off another box. I wanted to make sure that it was God asking me to do something that only He could do.
As I was worshiping in my living room when everyone was out of the house, I distinctly heard the Holy Spirit give me one word: “GO.”
Go? Go where, when, and how? And He said it again,” Go. Trust me, and go.”
So, I applied. You can’t go unless you take the first step, and I am so glad that I did! After I applied and was accepted, God continued to confirm in my heart and through others that this was His plan for this next year of my life.
I am so excited for this journey, and for this opportunity to go. However, I cannot go without your help. Thus, I am announcing my first fundraiser:
