Today was another day full of playing, huging, and feeding
at the Children’s Shelter. I got to hold
one of the new babies. He is less than a
week old and so tiny. It’s hard to
believe that we have been here longer than he has been alive. Most of the children seem to be feeling
better from their colds. One of the baby
girls was taken to the hospital tonight.
She is 19 months old, but she is unable to sit up or roll over onto her
side. She is very tiny and seems so fragile; even when she is lying down she
has to fight for breath. Brienna helped to take the little one to the
hospital and said that she had very tough time breathing and would not
eat. She was admitted so Brienna is
planning on spending the day at the hospital tomorrow to sit with her. Her fight for health will be difficult due to
her preexisting conditions of TB and HIV.
