Last night when the brilliant orange sun had gone down we set up a big movie screen in the small town of Panbara. Despite the frigid winter temperatures a crowd of over 100 locals gathered to watch a video of shots of animals set to Christian music. The crowd gasped, laughed, and made comments when pictures of sea turtles, monkeys, and owls showed up on the screen. After the animal video, Jaco started the Jesus movie. For two hours the crowd sat and watched the story of the life of Jesus in their native language. I was wearing multiple layers and a fleece and I was still cold, yet some people stayed to watch the movie while wearing short-sleeve shirts. After the movie about 50 people prayed to ask Jesus to come into their lives.

Today I did more sewing and mending of clothing to take to the orphans of Tamane. This evening we watched Maggie and Rudo so that Jaco and Maria could enjoy an evening out.
