"Whatever town or village you enter…if anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that town." Matthew 10: 11-14

In my last blog I mentioned that we are traveling around from village to village sharing the gospel each day. Each day we go to a new village. Yesterday we had about an hour ride out to our village for the day. We got to a village where we all stepped out of the richshaw as usual with literally 100 pair of eyes starring at us within minutes. And as usual we started sharing why we were there…to bring the good new of the awesome God we love! We were standing in front of a Hindu temple as we started sharing this news (what a beautiful picture of a divine appointment)!!!

Before I got 5 sentences into my introduction of the gospel, a man stopped us and told our translator that they did not want to hear what we had to say and that we were not welcome, so we got back in the rickshaw and "shook the dust off our feet."

We got kicked out of a village

He told us it would happen…. Matthew 10. I was surprised that this was the first occurance for us to get kicked out of a village, and I had actually read Matthew 10 the other morning. However, I didn't realize it would hit me as hard as it did. I guess thats what I get for praying the night before for God to break my heart for what breaks His.

Riding away in the rickshaw my heart broke for the people standing there starring at us as we drove down the long straight rode from them. The words

"Father forgive them for they know not what they do"

ran through my head over and over again. I just want so badly for the lost and broken to know Him. But God continuously reminds me that He wants  that infinitely more than I do. He is a God of love, so all I can do is pray on their behalf and ask the Holy Spirit to interceed

We prayed….He will interceed!
