Ops! Not yet…leaving on a jet plane that is. Guess what though!?! I got my backpack and mess kit and sleeping bag and some clothes for the trip!! I’m just a little excited. Would it be weird if I told you that I wear my backpack around my house sometimes?…while in my sleeping bag…hopping around? Just kidding about the sleeping bag part. But I do wear my backpack around and imagine in my mind that I’m hiking through Peru. Don’t judge me.
Guess what else? God is kicking butt with fundraising lately! Every day I sell some Threads of Hope bracelets or get a check in the mail from someone. I still have a lot to go but God’s got everything under control! These are some interesting fundraising ideas that my friends and I have had:

Kissing booth (don’t worry…we threw that one out fast).

Shave it or save it (my hair that is).

Taking all the money that I have raised thus far and spending it on lottery tickets and/or going to a casino (this one is still up in the air).

Making a rap/dance to sell shirts and bracelets and hopefully becoming famous via YouTube.

Oh…there’s more…but these were just the “best” ones.

JANUARY 6th is right around the corner! Every day is such an emotional roller coaster. One minute I am so excited and happy about going and this trip and the next minute I’m crying to my friend about missing her wedding. I was never an emotional gal until this darn trip came along! I am so beyond stoked to be able to do this with my life, I am so beyond stoked that God is using me and using others to bless me thoughout this process. My Pappa is so good!
