Last week we met up with all the teams in Ireland and flew to Bucharest, Romania where we met up with the rest of the squad. This was a time where new leaders were raised up and team changes were made. I have been separated from my old team and placed on a new team. It is kind of bittersweet seeing most of my old team still together but I am very excited about my new team. I know that I am supposed to be on this team and I know that I will learn a lot from my new teammates. I did not many of them very well but we are bonding quickly.

Yourself
Our team name is Walking Third. We want to live life by putting Jesus and Others about ourselves. Our team verse is Luke 10:27 “Love the Lord your God will all your hear, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind and love your neighbor as yourself.”
We spent a couple days in Romania as a squad and then on Tuesday the teams headed to their ministry locations. My team traveled with two other teams to Moldova (the poorest country in Eastern Europe) on an overnight bus ride. We arrived in Moldova 2 hours earlier than was expected so we had to wait several hours before heading to our ministry site. The three teams split up here and headed our separate ways. Our translator, Peter, met up with us at the bus stop and we got on another bus to head to our ministry site. Our contact, Andrew Mineev picked us up there and brought us to the church.
We are living in a couple rooms in a church here. We will be working with the kids that they have come in during the week, going on house visits, and doing evangelism in the city – Bender We have already started working with the kids – playing games and doing bible lessons. We will also be helping them with English, among other things. Those we are working with speak Russian – we are trying to pick up on some of the language but it is very difficult. The city of Bender is actually not part of Moldova… it is in a country called Transnistria and we have to cross the border and go through customs every time we go there. They have there own currency and everything; however, they are not recognized by anyone else as a country so we are working in a country that doesn’t really exist!
