It’s been two months since I’ve updated, and two months has definitely been too long. There’s so much that I can say about the past two months to testify of what the Lord has been doing in the nations. But first, I owe an explanation and apology for the long silence. In June, my squad was asked to do an internet fast to protect the ministry of our contacts in China. At this point, I still cannot share anything online regarding the work we did and the ministry we worked with. If you would like to know more, I would love to share in person when I return or even through e-mail about it. Personally and as a team through our ministry, we got to experience the fruit of obedience in living out God’s promise and blessing.
This past month, I have been living in my tent with a nomadic church in the countryside of Mongolia. Living far away from internet access was another obstacle to the practice of regular blog updates, which explains the lack of communication. Thankfully, I do have a lot to share about this past month and I can actually share it since I do not have to worry about security in this country. Hopefully when I arrive in Thailand, I can finally get some blogs up about what God has been doing in me and through me in Mongolia.
So here I am sitting at the airport in Mongolia in my eighth month of the World Race, and ready to fly to Thailand! This next month is our “man”istry month, which means that the men and women are splitting up in our squad to do different ministries. This also means that for this month new teams have been made and new team leaders have been raised up. I am serving as a team leader this month to the following group of women: Jenna Ellison, Kimberly Grady, Gina Neuville, Danielle Wieber, and Brooke Wright. Our team name is “Logos” from John 1:1. I am excited for this new season (literally, we’re practically in autumn), and the spiritual harvest that God is bringing. Prayers will be much appreciated as we are moving into an area in the 1040 window (Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Nepal) heavy with spiritual warfare through lust, materialism, Buddhism, and Hinduism. May we offer praise that this is our truth and hope through it all: “The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5). My prayers are also with you all back home as I finish the last four months of this race and take hold of our Savior.
