I wanted to write a sincerest of thank you’s to all the people who made yesterday’s Open House successful and who were in attendance!

I could not have had the party if it were not for my donors, the individuals who helped put it together, and guests with whom to celebrate.  I am very thankful for the love and support people have been showing me through many different avenues.  I love being able to tell people what God has instilled in my heart as my mission for the next 13 months.

Even though I didn’t have a presentation,
yesterday was a BLAST and
I am now 25% funded (unofficially)!

I was able to get a few t-shirt/tank top orders and am hoping to get a few more in the next couple of weeks.  I have decided that I will take t-shirt/tank top orders until Friday, October 11th.  Then the order will be placed and the shirts will be sent to me!  Very exciting (:

Here are the next mini-mile markers I’m going to put in place to get to the next goal of $6,500 by mid-December.

October 11 – $4,500
(Only $943 to go!)
November 12 – $5,500
December 13 – $6,500

This is the minimum amount I’ll have to have in my AIM account, so I will be praying that these goals are surpassed by a greater amount.  The great and yet difficult thing about the way fundraising works for the World Race is that while I don’t need to be fully-funded by the time I launch (only 45%), I will need to still fundraise the rest while I am out of the country.

If 10 people decide to pledge a month amount for the next 9 months of $10 ($90 individual contribution), that would equate to $900 raised.  If they decided $15 per month ($135 total), $1,350 raised.  $20 ($180 total), $1,800 raised.  Yes, I am very thankful for those who have donated in lump sums — but for cash flow purposes (wow, can you tell I’m an accountant?), $10 a month is what, 2 or 3 latte’s or lunches out per month.  That dollar amount seems easier to swallow!  The best part is that monthly donations are set up through DynaPay and there are no transaction fees!  (:

Thank you all again and again.  I am so excited to share with you all the steps of the journey.
