THREE WEEKS!
Somehow, in three weeks, I’ll pack up all my gear and some clothes to get on a plane alone (haven’t done that since 2000ish) and meet up with people I have never seen before for one week of who-knows-what in Tennessee.
I’m so excited!
This past week I was blessed with an anonymous donation that conveniently pushed me across the first fundraising checkpoint. I didn’t think that it would phase me that someone anonymously donated.
It did.
I wanted so much to thank the individual who was gracious enough to support me on my mission next year. I joked that the funds must have come straight from God’s piggy bank. But I do believe it’s true, whether directly or indirectly. Just know that I am thankful for all the support in whatever form, anonymously or not.
There will be an open house celebration this upcoming weekend that I am very much looking forward to. I’m not exactly sure what it’s going to look like right now, but I have faith it will be good! (Kind of like my expectations for training camp and the race, I guess — haha!) I’m excited to share my pictures and stories about July’s trip to Ecuador, and be able to tell in better detail about next year. Writing really isn’t my forte — it’s so much easier to tell you all about it in person! If you don’t have the details, please send me a message and I’ll get them over to you!
And lastly, I wanted to post this video made by Kelsi Ferguson, who launched this time last year, because
HELLO 2014!! And,
Hey, look — It’s my friend Jess!!
