UPDATE: In 2 weeks, I will be competing in an IRONMAN 70.3- a consecutive 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride, and a 13.1 run which has to be completed in 8.5 hours. In 3 months, I am traveling internationally to lead a group of college aged students where we will be serving those around us and sharing the love of Christ. What do these things have to do with each other? Besides me being really excited about each of these opportunities-the “F” word: Fundraising. It’s not always the fun part about leading these trips, but a humbling and necessary part.
