18 months, 12 countries, and $26,209 later my time with Adventures in Missions ended on March 13th. While I am still in the midst of processing such a transformational season of life, I am writing to give you a quick update on my time the last six months and thank you for making the last two years possible.
Me & my fellow Fellows on our Graduation night.
Soon after the World Race I moved to Gainesville, GA where I worked at the Adventures in Missions headquarters. Through the six month Adventures Fellowship Program I applied what I learned on the World Race to the work environment, discovered new passions and skills and utilized my past professional experience to strengthen programs at Adventures. Here is a brief overview of what I did and the impact of my work on others and myself.
- Utilized skills to develop strong organizational foundations for Adventures in Missions by leading Beauty for Ashes in a strategic planning process and developing curriculum for courses
- Through Beauty for Ashes retreats, trainings, and programs I discovered my desire to help women walk in the fullness of who they were created to be
- Taught & mentored others to discover their unique purpose through reflecting on their stories, identifying their uniqueness, casting vision for their lives, and taking the right next step
- Clarified my desire to encourage people towards intimacy with the Father through coaching, hospitality, and writing
What’s Next?
I am now home in Illinois spending time with family and will move to central Illinois next week to begin a temporary full-time position with my church. This summer I will move back to Seattle, WA and currently seek positions within Higher Education.
Funding
Although the Adventures Fellowship Program is finished, I am still not fully funded. With only $390 needed, a little bit goes a long way! Please consider giving a one-time tax-deductible donation. Any amount helps and I’ll easily be fully funded if:
- 2 people give $100
- 2 people give $50 and
- 3 people give $25
If able to give in any amount please click the “SUPPORT ME” link on the left side of the page.
I want to thank you all for not only being a part of my journey, but for making this last two years possible. I am so grateful for your encouragement, wisdom, and generosity during this time. I look forward to what is in store for all of us!
