We are in month two of the race, and there are a number of things I miss back home…….
- Family
- Friends
- Bed
- Shower
- Toilet
- Tap water
- American foods
- Television
- Stoves
- Air conditioning
- Hot water
- Privacy
And the list could go on! Although I miss ALL these things back home, I have to stay on the race. In these first couple of months I have found different aspects of myself that I never knew existed. I found parts of me that was good, also things in myself that needed to be changed. God is constantly breaking away branches that are not of him or that can’t bear good fruit, tearing up deep roots that try to choke me of the joy and life I have in him, and has planted something deep within my spirit that will bloom the most beautiful pieces for his kingdom.
I never thought in a million years I would be called to something of this caliber for his kingdom, but it has been one of the biggest joys and challenge in my life. It is by the grace of God that I am here, well, and able to bring the hope of his salvation to the nations. I believe my time is not up and my journey has just begun! God is not finished with me yet, and there is still a lot of growth that needs to be done. The ONLY way I can stay on this journey is with your help!
I MUST have $3,000 in my account by October or I will be headed back to the U.S. Although I would love to be back in the comforts of my home, be with you all, and enjoy the American life I would rather shower out of a bucket, eat unknown foods, and sacrifice my personal space to continue on this journey and walk in what God has for me.
