Well here I am three months in, and there is a lot going on. I am learning so much through reading more of the Bible, having good conversations with people about God, and discussing different issues and viewpoints. Just one thing is missing: action.  Yes, I am on a missions trip, but sometimes I feel like we are just acting like the Pharisees. We have the knowledge but do not put our faith into action. What good is that to God?

From a secular standpoint, people might see you as good and holy, but without action and stepping out in faith in the situations that God has put forth for us, we are doing nothing except gaining a little knowledge. When we start following the things that God lays on our hearts, then we are doing his work.

So my new thing on this race is going to be action. I mean full out faith in everything. We trust God to a degree, meaning we want what he offers but still hold on to the worldly things, just incase God does not do what he says he will. God can cause use to step into faith through challenges in our walk.

I believe the harder our walk is, the more growth we will see in all aspects of our lives, along with a greater reward in the end. On our race so far we have been in Moldova, Romania, and now India. I found that these places have not been as challenging as I expected them to be. Moldova was the most challenging month so far in a spiritual aspect, but as for living conditions things have not been challenging in any of the countries.

Sometime I think that we are put in places that have so many other World Race teams there that it is nothing new for the ministry site, and the work they ask us to do is tedious and unfulfilling. I agree that a freshly planted seed needs to be watered and tended to, but once a field is in bloom and ready for the harvest it does not need as much attention to sustain.

As far as startup goes, there are many unplowed fields that could be sought out and then plowed by a number of teams back to back. (As in new ministry sights to be developed and worked up by a number of teams.) The initial breaking of a field is the most challenging part and where you need the most support. If you want a community to grow strong you need constant challenges physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. With out challenges things become stagnant and growth deters.
