BeUtify Mae Sot is a series of projects and events that the Outpour team will be pursuing for future involvement in the Mae Sot community. The first event happened last Saturday and was a success!
Our desire for these projects is to promote UNITY, while pursuing relationships in the community of Mae Sot and giving young people an opportunity to be CREATIVE and have fun in a safe environment. Our hope for these events is for them to become much more than just events, but a refreshing way of interacting with each other within our communities; a lifestyle that reflects UNITY and HONOR.
Here are some photos from the event which included carnival games, obstacle courses, face painting, a special series of paintings from the kids for the school, 4 different sports, sidewalk chalk, dance, a performance by a Christian rapper, raffles, water games, etc! In addition, we were able to raise enough money to feed more than 300 people at the end of the event!
A big thank you to all the financial supporters and prayer warriors!
Check out the last photos as well- since I’m moving out of Mae Sot, I was able to give my fixed-gear bike a makeover and donate it to the raffle. I prayed hard about who would win it and was so blessed when a young girl from the slums held the lucky ticket. You can see her pictured with her family too. God is so good!!
