Dear friends and family,
I am thrilled to be telling you about the next chapter in my life. As many of you know I have fallen in love with Christ and his word. Because of this I have decided to take a year off of my schooling to do missionary work in five different countries for nine months. This mission is known as the World Race Gap year through the company Adventures in missions, an amazing group that has been sending missionaries out since 1989. I will be traveling to Thailand, Cambodia, Honduras, Guatemala, and Ethiopia.
I truly feel that this mission is something I must do as I feel that God is calling me to serve His people. I have always loved America and serving the people here. I think it is time I realize that people of all nations are my brothers and sisters in Christ and it is time I spread the love. This mission will be a life changing experience for myself and everyone I meet. You may be asking yourself what exactly will I be doing? While in these countries, my team and I will partner with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and so much more.
I will be starting this journey in September of 2017, this is only about nine months away. In this time, I will really need each and everyone’s help. The World Race is a huge step in my life and will be very difficult. One of the hardest things about this race is that I will need to raise $14,951 however, this money includes the costs of training, travel, lodging, food, and all other necessities while abroad. I am most importantly asking you to help me with the power of prayer. Please pray for myself along with my team and everyone involved in this mission as we leave our families and comfort zones this coming year. Also please consider helping me financially.
There are many ways you can sponsor me through this mission. Every little bit helps. You may sponsor me with a one-time gift, or sign up to give monthly on my blog by clicking the “support me” tab. If you would wish to send in your contribution as a check, please let me know and I will get you the information necessary to do so. Also these donations are tax deductible! Thank you so much for reading this, I will be posting more blogs to keep you updated through this time.
Blessings,
Zoe Carrano
