Today was our last day in Romania and I depart for Africa tomorrow at 3:30 am.  Romania was a time of huge personal growth and learning.  I’ve been trying to put some of my thoughts into words for the past couple of hours but came down with a good ‘ole-fashioned case of writer’s block.  I think a fresh mind and a busy airport are the only remedies for this conundrum but I still wanted to update you briefly on the next leg of the journey.

Tomorrow we fly from Bucharest to Frankfurt, then to Ethiopia and on to Malawi.  Our team will be working at an orphanage in Blantyre.  I am super excited to be in Africa and to be working with orphans.  I got just a brief introduction to orphanages in Albania (see my post about it here) and am excited to multiply the compassion I felt then and pour buckets of love on the children.

My team working in the office with Raul, the director of international ministry through Hope Church.  I learned a lot from him.
