This Wednesday I visited my little brother Caleb at Hope College and he took me to a Pentecostal Church.  I have never been to a church like this before and it was awesome to see how passionate this body of Christ was in worshipping our Lord.  I heard a song called Speechless by Free Chapel for the first time and immediately tears started to stream down my face.  Not because I was sad, but because I am just blown away by how amazing God’s love and grace is for me.  Continually we put God in the backseat and live our lives the way that we want to.  We forget that He is the one who is driving our vehicle of life and we must rely on Him not just in our times of need, but in all things we do.

God is UNENDING.  God was always there and will always be there.   Revelation 1:8 the Lord says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega; who is and who was, and who is to come….”  There are times that we pray to God for certain things and get frustrated when He doesn’t answer those when we want him to.  We must trust in Him.  He knows what’s best.  He is ALWAYS ON TIME.

God is UNFAILING.  We continually fail God, but He will never fail us.  When we feel alone and empty He showers us with his love.  When we feel lost He calls out to us so we may find Him again.  When we fall down He is there to pick us back up.  When we give into temptation He is there to say I still love you, My grace is enough.  At times He disciplines us and we question God because we think how could a God who loves me allow these things to happen, but in Proverbs 3:12 it tells us that “the Lord disciplines those He loves.”  He never fails us.  He is NEVER UNKIND.

God’s favor for us is UNMERITED.  The definition of merit is something that deserves or justifies a reward.  Nobody has merit with God.  God chooses to give us unmerited favor.  In Romans 11:32 it tells us that “God has bound all men over to disobedience so that He may have mercy on them all.”  And then in verse 35 it says,” Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?”  He owes us nothing, but because of His love and mercy we receive UNMERITED FAVOR.

We are UNDESERVING of all things God has given to us including grace, but He allows us to receive it because we need it.  The words of this song describe Gods Grace for us perfectly.  When I see God’s grace I’m so amazed that I become speechless.  God, You take my breath away!

Below is a video of the song with the lyrics.  I challenge you to meditate to the words and think about where we would be without God’s grace.  Enjoy smiley
