God has truly blessed my family. Today, July 3rd, my father and sister are in Kenya on a two-week mission trip, I will be in Nepal, and my mother and sister will be in Florida. God has blessed us in that this summer he has made us all his hands and feet. Missions has its significant challenges, especially when you come to the realization that EVERY holiday, birthday, graduation, wedding for the next year will go on without you. Every World Racer is giving up significant life benchmarks in their loved ones’ lives, but this post is dedicated to those who are not PHYSICALLY going on the race, but in EVERY OTHER WAY are furthering His kingdom. This post is to honor those in my life who are holding me up to a higher standard and giving up certain things in the process.

Six months ago, I’d say I was unprepared for the journey that I’m about to face. Today, I’d say that I am unprepared for the journey I’m about to face. But I have every belief that God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called

“Goodbyes” have been said to old friends, and “Hellos” have been exchanged between new friends. This is it. I’m in Atlanta airport writing this waiting for my 14 hour flight to India, 14 hour layover, then 2 hour flight to Kathmandu, Nepal. It is today. I love you all.

God, please keep everyone back home safe and give me open arms for new cultures.

P.S. As some of you know, over the next year there will be rough spots and when it hits I’ll be thinking of you and your prayers. I’ve definitely felt the stretch but I knew walking into this that support raising is just the beginning of my spiritual journey over the next year! Every month we have between 3-5 days scheduled as “travel days” which will be mostly sitting in airports and busses and boats, so I’ve decided to dedicate 7 hours straight one of those days every month to sitting alone in prayer for my friends and family back in the states. Please feel free to email me at ANY point with prayer requests at [email protected] . I’m not sure how quickly I’ll be able to respond, but please know that I’ll receive and be praying for you all! There is just as much of His work to be done here in the states and things can be just as stressful. I’m not the only one living!
