Manistry,

This is a month where the men leave the girls behind to
pursue a month on their own. It is a month of growth, a month where men can be
men and find out what it truly means to be a man. The “man” that we are trying
to find is not just the worlds view of men, but we seek to unearth a “man of
God”.

We will pour into one another, challenge one another, break
one another, and build one another up. We will dig into the word, and bow down
in prayer in hopes to find who it is that God says we are. This is bound to be
a month with more than just planting cassava, belching and farting. It has to
be a month with more! We want more. We want more love, more knowledge, more
depth, more of Him, and more of who God says we are.

So who are we? What is a Man of God? We have been saying for
the last 10 months that we are “men of God”, but what does that mean? What is a
man of God? Who God says we are is different for each of us, walking as a man
of God might look different for each of the 21 of us, but we are all men of God
and we are called to be something! We are all in a walk. We are all in
different places and may not fill this yet, but we are all called to be rise up
as men of God. We will strive for success and push ourselves to become the men
that we are called to be.

So what is a man of God?

A “Man of God” is:

                He is
sincere, honest, without wax that hides his flaws.

                He is
holy, set apart, different from the world.

                He is
contrite, filled with remorse for the wrongs he’s committed.

                He is a
provider, one that satisfies the needs both physically and spiritually for
those around him.

                He is a
supporter, one who lifts up or holds up his family and his friends.

                He is a
rock, a firm foundation that people can count on. He is sturdy, and unbreaking.

                He is
not controlled by fear.

                He is a
teacher and he is a student.

                He is
confident.

                He is
bold to pursue.

                He is
willing to admit pride and walk in humbleness

                He is
full of integrity. His “Yes” is “Yes” and his “No” is “No”
