Our time in Cambodia has come to an end. I am currently in Bangkok before heading to Hua Hin, Thailand, to spend the next five days at “debrief” with the squad. This is designed to be a period for relaxing and being refreshed, but, unfortunately, for squad leaders this is the “busy” part of the race. Because of the new positions of leadership that Katie, Jory, and myself are in, we will spend a lot of our time meeting with teams and individuals as they debrief that last month and begin focusing on their upcoming ministry. I’m looking forward to hearing each person’s heart, imparting what I can, and listening to the wisdom that our coaches, Mike and Patti Paschall, will bring.
Below is a video I made entitled, “Cambodia By Bike.” My goal was to make a video that summarized what a typical person would see on a typical bike ride in an atypical country. (I know, I know. It’s “atypical” for me because of my upbringing.) In short, the video is short–it’s only two minutes long–and hopefully gives you an idea of why I loved riding my bike through the streets of Cambodia, specifically the capital city of Phnom Penh, so much. Enjoy.
Right, the picture. I finally shaved, and this is what I stuck with ever so temporarily. (No father, I did not go out in public like that.)
And…if you have any questions about anything from the video, feel free to ask. I’ll do my best to answer, but it’s just like musical chairs, there’s no guarantees.
