This is my TEAM ! We are the "Ladies of Light"– this name to us is a constant reminder that no matter where we go in the world we are the light ! Matthew 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden." I am so honoured to travel the world with these 5 amazing women of God ! They each bring a unique & crucial part to our team & together we are so excited for what God has in store for us on this amazing journey ! Ladies of Light (LOL) also is a reminder to us to laugh & have fun along the way & enjoy our time with each other !
Our first month we are going to be in the ………..PHILIPPINES !
We are working with the "Philippine Christian Foundation Community Church" our mission is to serve the poor communities around Manila ! We will mainly be based in "Tondo" (the main dumpsite), however, we may help out 2 other sites in Manila as well.
Our duties include:
-Serving at feeding programs
-teaching in kids clubs/kids church
-speaking at youth groups/youth drop-in centers
-prayer walks & house visitations
-mural project
-general practical help with buildings
-house building/shanty repair
-helping in the creative arts program
-community cleaning
We will be staying in a hostel at a place called "Friendly's Guest House Manila"-in a dorm style room with 12 beds. The language spoken is "Tagalag." We will be at this ministry sight from September 13th- October 10th
Please continue to pray for my team & squad as we all prepare to leave our homes within the next couple weeks for 11 months & for safety & that we will adjust well to our new life for 11 months ! I am so blessed to be able to launch with my squad on September 6th, however, I am not yet fully funded. I still need to raise $7,700 to be able to do the entire 11 months of ministry ! I am just trusting in God's provision, if you would like to support me all donations are SO SO appreciated ! I am excited to start this journey & share my stories along the way !
