One of the most eye opening ministries that we have taken part in here has been for sure working with orphans. From the second that you walk through the door, these children literally never let go. They fight to get close for something as simple as a hug. These are the forsaken of the world. These orphans have nobody.

Some of lost parents to death.
Others have been abandon.
Some just cast to the side.
Some their parents just could not take care of them.
And the people who run the orphanage do not seem to spend much time with the children. So from the minute we walked through the door, they want to play, be held, dance, sing, and even just have us sit with them to watch tv. They have no one who is speaking life over them. What did bring a great joy to my life was seeing that by the grace of God, there are some children in the orphanage that love Jesus so much. These few are singing praise songs, talking about loving Jesus, and I had a chance to encourage them to share Christ with everyone they come in contact with. It gripped my heart in a major way.

Saying goodbye was crushing. The children literally did not want to let go and it was as if a part of us was being torn out of us as the directors ushered the children back inside.

Please join me in praying that the Lord would raise up the Body of Christ in this area with a heart for these forsaken many and love them with the love of Jesus Christ.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27
