A few months back the Lord opened up a door for me to go with my amazing church, Watermark Community Church, to Brazil. And timing wise, it worked out absolutely perfect. I will be leaving for Brazil with my church team on Saturday and get back the following Saturday. We will be headed to Manaus and traveling from there into the Amazon Jungle. Most of the people in the Amazon live in very impoverish conditions.
The Amazon Jungle consists over over 36,000 unreached river communities that are only accessible by boat. Church planting efforts in this area are extremely difficult because of the geographical isolation and poverty of the area. In addition to that, there are an extreme amount of lost people in Brazil who either have no clue who Jesus is or have been taught a distorted view of Christ and don’t know Him as our only means of salvation and life.
So we, team of about 45 people broken into two groups, will be getting on a boat and heading up the Amazon river to shine the light of the Lord into this dark area. Over the next few days I will be updating the blog with more information on what we will be doing. Please be praying for my team and I as we head into the jungle for the renown of Jesus and the sake of the eternity of these people.
