Uganda has been amazing.  I've been loving the ministry and the people we've been working with.  Here's the latest update:

Here's the street we live on.

Our main ministry this month is playing soccer with the local youth (it's sort of an FCA type of approach:  teaching them the links between athletics and faith in Christ).  In the evenings, we'll have practice or play a game with them.  I've been living the dream here because this is my favorite way to build relationships with teens.  I've been playing a lot of soccer this month… trying to earn my right to be heard.  By now, they all know me and know what I'm about.  After practice and games, we invite them to church or various events that we've been hosting.

Some days we'll head up to the school and teach the young one's English.  After class, we go outside and play in the yard.  This is us trying to teach them Red Rover.  It didn't go over too well.  Apparently, running around screaming and yelling is more fun for them!

It's banana season in Uganda right now.  Can you tell?!

Another thing we do in the afternoons is visit people at their homes.  This is a normal home that we would visit during our walks through the community.

This is the first and only picture I ever took during a house visit.  I usually feel very uncomfortable doing it because I never want the people we're going to visit feel like this is just for a show or something.  But, I felt like I had to record at least one picture to show you what you've been helping to accomplish for the Kingdom of God.  One afternoon we visited this lady at her home.  She wasn't a believer but was curious and willing to listen to what we had to say.  After a few stories about Jesus and some non-threatening invitations to have a relationship with him, she wanted us to lead her in a salvation prayer.  Here are the guys leading her in what might have been her first ever prayer to Jesus.  It was a great day, to say the least!

Here's the team singing some songs at the Super Saturday Event!

Here's the Sunday open air church service.

And here's the new team!  Erica Floyd (beside me) and Jordan Dale (far right) were added to the team at the beginning of this month.
