Hello! My name is Vivian Norenberg. I am an elementary teacher in rural Alaska. God has given me a passion for working with children. I love my job because everyday is a different adventure full of the unexpected. My job has taken me to remote villages in Alaska, across the seas to a tropical island of Indonesia, and to a beautiful historical kingdom within Eastern Europe. Working with children is such a blessing in my life.
I was blessed to be introduced to missions early on in life. There was a New Tribes Missions training center not far from where I lived. My family became close friends with missionaries all over the world. They attended my home church while going through training and were frequent guests at my family’s dinner table. Their stories made me aware of the need for Christ around me and all over the world. I am looking forward to the opportunity to go on the World Race as I have a desire in my heart to return overseas. My prayer is that God will use me for His glory.
