A theme of this past month in Nicaragua was
 BUILDING BLOCKS.
Literally, we did a lot of construction
Spiritually, we invested in children’s lives and affirmed their hope for the future.
As a team, we talked and prayed a lot about transitioning
into the next phase of life after the Race.

We worked hard every day mixing concrete and building the walls
of a new feeding center by the church.
We also had a lot of fun practicing Spanish
and joking around with the pastor’s adult son Santiago.

CICRIN welcomes volunteers on a regular basis.
(There were three other groups there at the same time as us!)
That means there are always a lot of hands around to help.
I was concerned that it might be hard for the children to have people come and go so often,
but it actually seems to have made them more flexible and friendly.
Thankfully, many of the teams have established relationships with CICRIN,
so the same people return year after year.
It’s definitely a place I hope to visit again!

And now I entrust you to God
and the message of His grace
that is able to build you up
and give you an inheritance
with all those He has set apart for Himself.
