One of our favorite just-for-fun skits is “Making Soup” whose basic plot consists of people eating soup, falling over sick, and calling an ambulance. The skit is repeated several times – each time with the Director character suggesting various styles: slow-motion, super-emotional, musical, etc. and consequently firing and replacing an actor with an audience member.

So on one particular afternoon last week, as usual after the first scene, Angi, acting as Director of the drama, asked the audience of Romanian village children, “Who could do a better job as an ambulance driver?!” expecting a volunteer to join us on stage. Instead, two darlings in the front row shot their little hands up in the air and simultaneously shouted, “God can!”

Correct Sunday School answer.
Precious.

Hilarious!

As we visit villages outside Bucharest, we meet crowds of families gathered together at a neighbor’s house where we sing songs, share testimonies of God’s love and power,

distribute gifts,

play with and love on children,

and offer words of Life and HOPE to the people.

It’s what Jesus would do, and no one could do a better job than that!
