We meet incredible people on the World Race.
I would like to introduce you to some of them
so that you can be encouraged by their stories of faith

and so that you can lift them up in prayer.

Elephonse (left) is a wandering evangelist.  He is ethnically Rwandan, but he grew up in Uganda.  He only lived in Rwanda for a few years, during the war in the mid-1990’s.  He was a nominal Christian until the day the Lord called him into full-time ministry.  He was confused about why the Lord wanted to use him, but he decided to trust the Lord, and he has never looked back.  He has become a very wise man, totally filled with the Holy Spirit.  Our World Race team was inspired simply hearing his stories, and it was an honor to visit homes with him.

Jimmy (right) is the son of a witch doctor.  As a child, his job was to grind up herbs.  One day, he received a fiery vision from the Lord.  He went to church to find out more and after a few weeks of Bible study, he gave his life to the Lord.  He served under a couple of pastors and then felt led to start his own church.  It has grown to about 50 people (which is quite large for this region), and they have many great programs in place: outreach events, seminars, regular prayer & fasting, youth and children’s ministries;  they also hope to build a health center this year.  It was a great joy for our World Race team to partner with Pastor Jimmy’s church to do home visits!
