What is the World Race?

THE WORLD RACE is an extraordinary combination of travel, ministry, community, self-discovery and growth offered by Adventures in Missions (AIM).  Check out the main World Race website for more information, including blogs and videos from past and current participants.
 
In October 2008, my team and I started to GO around the world to serve.  Each month, we were in a different country where we worked alongside local churches and missionaries. 
As we responded to people’s physical needs, we will also ministered to their spiritual needs.

Why did I choose to get involved in the World Race?

This is like an intro-to-missions for people like me who are interested but not sure or not ready to commit to being a full-time forever overseas missionary.  This particular program appealed to me because it allowed me to focus on God, serve others, and continue to explore more of this awesome world!  Plus, I was looking forward to developing a global perspective of how God is working.  I hoped that after having traveled around the world and served in various capacities, I would have a clearer vision of my role in the kingdom, of how my particular skills and interests could be put to use intentionally for God.

How can you support this ministry?

PRAYERS 

Pray for our teams, for the people we meet, and for our lost world.

* courage and love as we develop relationships

* encouragement and opportunities for the ministries with whom we will be serving

* dependence on God as we raise financial support
