Hey friends!
Thanks for visiting my blog! The Lord has been working some pretty cool things in my life recently and I’m excited to share my journey with you through this site!
For those of you who don’t know, this is the place where I plan to document what the Lord is doing in me and in the lives of those around me as I prepare for and embark on the journey of a lifetime: The World Race.
I’ve decided to take some time now to explain more in depth what the World Race is, as I’ve gotten so many questions about it. The World Race is a program through Adventures in Missions that takes a group of individuals, aged 21-35, to 11 different countries around the world in 11 months. There, we will work with local churches and ministries to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost, and serve the least of these with His love and grace. This may look very different depending on the country we are in as well as the contact who hosts our team. We may be teaching English in schools, doing manual labor, preaching in churches, working in orphanages, or serving in ministries that target vulnerable populations, like women, children, and those living in poverty.
Because this opportunity takes place in community with other Christians, we also have the unique chance to serve and grow with one another as we go out to the nations. This gives us the incredible opportunity to daily sharpen and disciple one another to become better followers of Christ, as we simultaneously go and make new disciples around the world.
The countries I will be traveling to are: Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Botswana, Swaziland, South Africa, Turkey, Albania, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica.
To be fully funded for this mission, I must raise $16,255, which includes all travel, food, lodging, and insurance expenses needed for this near-year long mission. I am trusting the Lord to provide all that I need, and believe that he will do so through many of you. He already had shown me that! I am confident that this is the Lord’s will for my life right now, and I would love for you to be a part of my support team! Here are a few ways you can directly help:
1. Make an online donation to my account using the Support Me link to the left of this page. Make sure to type in my name in the Participant field.
2. Send a check to Adventures in Missions P.O. Box 742570 Box Atlanta, GA 30374-2570. Be sure to include my name and ‘The World Race’ in the memo line.
3. Send a check directly to me at 15629 60th Pl. N. Loxahatchee, FL 33470. I will be able to then send this money to the organization.
4. Donate gear. For this trip, I will be carrying around everything on my back for 11 months, so I will need specific gear. If you are interested in donating to this aspect of my trip, whether that be in funds or equipment, please let me know!
5. Donate to my personal fund. Just like ministry back home, on the Race there will be certain days of rest, debrief, and experiencing the culture of each country. These days may include exploring the nearby cities, or even something like experiencing an African Safari, or visiting some of the natural wonders of the world. Unfortunately, often these opportunities are not included in the price of the trip. However, if you think you would like to donate to this aspect of my journey, please let me know!
6. Pray. A year away from home, on mission for the Lord requires immense prayer support. If you would like to join my prayer team, I would be even more grateful! Having a team back home praying for me and my team is immeasurable.
There is much more to this trip than I could possibly fit here, so if you have any questions, feel free to comment below or contact me with them!
