When is it the right time to give up all you have to do something you really believe in? My time is now. I am going to abandon my worldly possessions and luxuries to go and live out the calling and purpose God has for me. I have been given the opportunity to travel to 11 different countries over 11 months. It’s called THE WORLD RACE! It is a Christian organization that sends young adults to be involved in all kinds of ministry in these countries such as working with orphans, teaching English, planting churches, feeding victims of natural disasters, ministering to those trapped in prostitution due to human trafficking, and many other things, all while preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our loving Savior. I will travel to the following countries: Peru, Bolivia, Chile, India, Nepal, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malawi, Zambia.
To love is a risk. Often selfishness keeps us from taking care of those in need, somewhere along the way in our concern for an easy, happy, comfortable life, we may be missing the heart of the gospel- to seek and save the lost, to reach out to the forgotten and the oppressed, to love sacrificially, and pour love out so that others can catch a glimpse of Jesus. God is giving me the opportunity to do just that! I cannot express my gratitude for the Lord’s calling in this adventure and I have no doubt that when He calls He also provides.
Here is where you come in. Not only has God given me the privilege and opportunity to be a part of something so much bigger than myself, but also I would like to give you that same opportunity to be a part of this adventure by asking you for your prayers, encouragement, and financial support. I will need to raise about $16,000 for my trip in January. If God is tugging at your heart after reading this letter, please do not hesitate to donate today. There are financial deadlines I do have to meet. I humbly ask you to consider giving either a monthly donation or a one-time donation. You can choose the start and end date of monthly donations on my website, or the option a one-time gift, for example $50, $200, $500 or more. If I can get 100 people to donate 11 dollars for 11 months I will be just about fully funded. Keep in mind it is not the amount that you give that matters, every donation makes a difference.
