A common theme the Lord has had through my Race journey is prayer. I’ve learned so much about the power of prayer, how to pray, and how to walk as a prayer warrior. This month is no different. On Sunday, at Salvation Church, there was a part to the service that really affected me. While we got up and gave introductions to ourselves, a church member passed out slips of paper and pens. Church members who had prayer requests wrote them out on a slip of paper and gave them back. Then those who wished to pray over requests raised their hands and were given a slip of paper to pray over for the week.
Wow.
What if we, as a Church body, committed an entire week to prayer requests like this? We always say we’ll pray for people, but we often forget in the busyness of our lives. What if we had a reminder to pray for a brother or sister in Christ? What miracles could we see if we covered each other in prayer this way? There is extraordinary power in prayer! I’ve seen so much accomplished through prayer. If we committed to praying for each other in this way, I believe we’d see a reawakening in the American Church. So I’m challenging you, Church! How can you be in prayer for each other today?
