Our ministry contacts this month in Olt County, Romania, are incredible! Seriously, they have such a heart for the people in this county and in the country of Romania. The church is thriving and growing, though slowly. This area is another "graveyard for missionaries." But we know God wants this area to be a living, breathing Body that screams His glory to the rest of the nation and the world.
However, there is an enemy lurking in this world. He does not want us to succeed in carrying out God's plans. This area has a huge problem with witchcraft. Immediately upon stepping foot in this area, our squad came under attack. Nightmares, scary visions, sickness, injuries, exhaustion, frustration, and discouragement swept over us. Following in the footsteps of another squad who shook things up in the Kingdom and left a few days before us, we are prime targets for spiritual attacks. But you know what? The enemy has NO power over us! The battle has already been won, and we have already been bought with a price. We are filled with the Holy Spirit, our lives are not our own. We have the assurance of God's protection over us, and we have NOTHING to fear!
Every morning, every person on the squad spends two hours in prayer and intercession. We pray for the church here, for the community, for open hearts in unbelievers, for spiritual protection for us and our contacts. Would you commit to pray with us? Lift U Squad up in prayer. We need it. It's month 8, and it would be easy to "coast" and not even enter into the fray of battle. We are tired, but we know the Lord gives strength. We feel as if we are not growing anymore, but we know the Lord prunes and tends our hearts so we can grow in Him. Pray that we would be filled with the Lord's strength and purpose as we carry out His will. Pray for this community, that hearts would be opened to the Gospel and the hope that is found in Jesus. Pray for the church, that they would be strengthened and encouraged in the Lord. And pray for our spiritual protection as we enter into the battle for Olt County.
