For some of you who have come across my blog you may be wondering what exactly the World Race is. Besides an incredible experience that I hope challenges me and helps me grow towards a stronger and healthier relationship with God, it is an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries; one country each month. I will live out of a backpack with probably 5 outfits, sleep in tents, hostels, and on the ground, eat exotic and sometimes indescribeable foods and animals, minister and pray for those around me who were once strangers, and form relationships that change my life.
In short; I will truly live.
This is the start of one life-changing and incredible experience.

There is an "Update Alert" tab to the left that will allow you to subscribe to my blog so that you are continually up to date about my experiences. If you wish to help me in this challenge there are a few ways that is possible. Prayer is the most important aspect of this journey. Having support from friends and family while I'm around the world will do wonders for not only myself, but my teammates and the people I will be ministering to.
I am also in need of raising a seemingly significant amount of money to go on this trip. If you know me, it wouldn't suprise you that I waited until the last minute to make the final decision to go on this journey. Because I am so far behind I have a little less than three months to raise half of the $14,800 it requires to take part of the World Race. My prayer for not only myself, but for each of you is that we would be able to surround ourselves with the people that rekindle each of our inner lights. I pray that we would be those people to the ones around us, that we can be that to the world. I pray that through this journey my inner light will burn for a life full of love for my God and the ones around me. There are times when I haven't been sure that the light I once felt was still there, but I simply cannot wait to find it again. I wish the same for you.
