I was born and raised in Longview; a city in east Texas that continually amazes me with its beauty.  I graduated from Abilene Christian University in May 2011 with an experience that was challenging and truly blessed. I started off as a pre-med biochemistry major, finding a passion for medical missions only to realize that perhaps the pre-med route wasn't for me. I ended up switching to art; my first love and finished with a BFA in two-dimensional design.

I left for the World Race in September 2011 as a part of A Squad, second generation. I left believing it would change my life and came back realizing that it was only the beginning. After six months at home, I traveled east to Georgia to attend CGA at Adventures in Missions.

That would indeed spur me on into another adventure.

Now I'm headed back to the field to Squad Lead Q Squad, second generation, for five months and to have another chapter of this ever changing, absolutely crazy and beyond abundant life written for me.

I love people.
Jesus speaks to me through every bit of nature.
The smell of honeysuckle always makes me smile.
I grew up having three freshly baked chocolate chip cookies every night.
I have an older brother I love more than anything.
I have two parents that have given me a truly blessed life.
My family brings me more joy and support than I could imagine.
I love the sunshine.
And the way rain hits your soul in a new way.
I could read all day, every day.
I have the cutest puppy in the entire world.
I have an odd obsession with periods at the end of sentences and fragments.
I wish I could walk barefoot everywhere.
Sweet tea is my favorite.

I have no idea what the Lord is doing with my life.

Be it unto me.
